We are Lovely Buns - a bakery specialising in handmade vegan desserts, cakes and bakes for birthdays, celebrations and special events. We take great pride in sourcing the best ingredients for our products using fair trade chocolate, fairly traded unrefined sugars and organic English flour.

Everything is baked from Alice's kitchen in North London and all recipes are created in the kitchen using the best possible ingredients. We take great pride in creating  super-duper tasty treats, that happen to be vegan, without compromising flavour, texture or sassy vibes (of course).

Having spent the last couple of years catering for bands and artists around the UK and Europe, sleeping on many a tour bus and learning how to live out of a suitcase, Alice bit the bullet and having told many an uninterested person "one day I would like my own business" - she finally created Lovely Buns, a plant-based bakery.

In February 2019 Lovely Buns held its first market stall on Brick Lane, selling to customers from London and afar. It was the best way to meet people, get feedback and find some loyal customers.

We don't know what the future holds for Lovely Buns, but we hope you enjoy following our journey. If you would like to get involved with our activities, whether that's visiting our stall, having us do a 'Dessert Grazing Table' at your event or even if you would like to collaborate with us in some way, shape or form - we would love to hear from you!

Please note: Founder Alice is from Yorkshire... in Yorkshire 'buns' mean 'small cakes' aka 'cupcakes' .

#1 SCENE -

Alice popping into office to do tea round...

MAN: "Oh Alice - lovely buns"

ALICE: "Pardon?"

MAN: "The cupcakes you brought in today... lovely!"

ALICE: "Oh yes... lovely buns. Of course, thanks!"

#2 SCENE -

Working at event entering room with tray of cupcakes and a group of truck drivers...

TRUCKER: "Oh look, here comes Alice with her lovely buns"

ALICE: reverse exit... (not entirely sure if in reference to the cakes.)
