GENERAL

WHAT MEASURES ARE YOU TAKING IN REGARDS TO COVID-19?
It is of course already extremely important for is to have a very clean kitchen in 'normal' circumstances, but we are taking extra precautions with our cleaning before, during and after baking. We have completed a COVID-19 risk assessment with NCASS. As we have a very small team of... one person, at the moment, we have minimal contact with others within the bakery.

 

IS YOUR PACKAGING SUSTAINABLE AND RECYCLABLE?
Yes! All of our packaging, including stickers, leaflets, boxes and paper, is fully recyclable. Where possible we use boxes that contain a percentage of already recycled materials too. 

 

DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL STORE?
We don't have a store, however you can pre-order and collect from the kitchen in Dalston. Just click on "Collect from the bakery" at check out. 

THE BAKES

IS EVERYTHING VEGAN? 
Yes! All of our bakes are suitable for vegans and non-vegans alike. 
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE?
Having spent a lot of time researching and sourcing the best quality, sustainable ingredients. Take a look on our dedicated ingredients page to find out more about our wonderful suppliers. 
DOES ANYTHING CONTAIN PALM OIL + WHY DO A MAJORITY OF BAKES CONTAIN NUTS?
We are taking steps to be a completely palm-oil free bakery. Therefore a majority of our bakes contain a palm-oil free vegan butter that contains 1% almond. The only items on our menu which now contain palm-oil are items that include Biscoff, which uses palm-oil from sustainable and certified plantations.
DO YOU HAVE ANY GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS?
Unfortunately not at the moment, we will be working on this in the future. 
I HAVE ALLERGIES, WHAT CAN I HAVE?
All product pages display the allergens for the individual bakes. Everything is baked in a kitchen which handles cereals containing gluten, nuts, peanuts, sesame, soybeans and sulphur dioxide. We cannot guarantee that our bakes are free from traces of these allergens. We take all measures to avoid cross-contamination on allergens. 

STORAGE + SHELF LIFE

CAKE STORAGE
When you receive your layer cake it is best kept in the fridge in the box provided. Take it out of the fridge at least 1 hour before serving. Once the cake has been sliced, make sure you keep in an air tight container in the fridge, to ensure the cake doesn't dry out. Your cake will last between 4-5 days. 
COOKIE STORAGE
Our cookies are best enjoyed fresh on the day of arrival, however they will last up to 1 week at room temperature, either in the box provided or in an air tight container. If you want a gooey fresh from the oven cookie, pop them in an oven at 170ºc for a few minutes, until heated through.  
CAN MY COOKIES BE FROZEN?
To make your cookies last even longer, you can freeze them for up to 2 months. When you want to enjoy them, reheat them in an oven at 170ºc for 8-10 minutes or until heated though, or allow them to defrost at room temperature. 
BLOCK CAKE STORAGE
Your block cake can be kept in the box provided, or in an air tight container and will last up to 1 week. If you want it to be extra special, we recommend you toast your slice and top it with butter - our favourite is the Naturli vegan butter block. 
CAN MY BLOCK CAKE BE FROZEN?
Yes, you can freeze your block cake as a whole cake or sliced into individual pieces for up to 2 months. Leave to defrost at room temperature and enjoy. 

DELIVERY

CAN I ORDER IN ADVANCE?
Yes, you can select your date during checkout for advanced orders. 
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
Our bakes are perishable, so we do not accept returns. If you have encountered an issue with your order, please let us know and email hello@heylovelybuns.co.uk. We will do our best to make it right. Please provide images where possible. 

LONDON DELIVERY

DO YOU DELIVER TO MY POSTCODE?
We delivery to a majority of postcodes within London - to check if we deliver to your postcode, click "Local Delivery" during checkout and type in your postcode to the selected field. If you're out of our delivery bands and would like to arrange special delivery, then please send an email to hello@heylovelybuns.co.uk and we will do our best to arrange this for you.
WHAT TIME WILL MY DELIVERY ARRIVE?
Your delivery will arrive between the hours of 10am-6pm. Please make sure you're available to accept the delivery. If you would like a specific delivery slot please email hello@heylovelybuns.co.uk and we will quote for special delivery. 
WHO WILL DELIVERY MY ORDER? 
Your order will be delivered by either Alice, in the Lovely Buns electric van or by a trusted courier delivery service.  
HOW MUCH WILL DELIVERY BE?
Delivery varies depending on your location. Pricing is based on a delivery band system. The further you are from our bakery, the more it will cost for delivery - the delivery charge will show during checkout. 
WILL I NEED TO BE IN TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Yes, our bakes are too large to fit through your letterbox. So please ensure you or the recipient is available to receive the order. Alternatively, at checkout leave information on a safe, covered place to leave your order or a neighbour that will accept the order. 

 

POSTAL DELIVERY
WHERE DO YOU POST TO?
Our cookies and block cakes can be posted across the UK. As the bakes are perishable, we do not post internationally. 
WHEN DO YOU POST YOUR ORDERS?
Orders are dispatched on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week. You can select the date you would like your order shipped during checkout. 
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY BAKES? 
Your bakes will be posted on the date you selected during checkout. We use a 24-hour, tracked delivery service, so your bakes should arrive within 1 day. You will receive text or email updates about your delivery, from dispatch to arrival. 
WILL I NEED TO BE IN TO RECEIVE MY POSTAL ORDER?
Yes, our bakes are too large to fit through your letterbox. So please ensure you or the recipient is available to receive the order. Alternatively, at checkout leave information on a safe, covered place to leave your order or a neighbour that will accept the order. 
WHERE'S MY ORDER?
If you haven't received your order within 2 days of your selected dispatch date, then please send an email to hello@heylovelybuns.co.uk, with your name, delivery address and order number. 
CAN I SEND COOKIE BOXES TO MULTIPLE ADDRESSES?
If you would like to ship to multiple addresses, you must place multiple orders via the website. If you are interested in corporate gifting, please contact us.

COLLECTION

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER FROM THE BAKERY?
Yes, you can collect your order from our bakery in Dalston between the hours of 3pm-5pm Tuesday-Friday. Select collection at checkout. Please find the address listed below:

WHEN CAN I COLLECT FROM THE BAKERY?
You can collect Tuesday-Friday between the hours of 3pm-5pm. If you would like to collect outside of these hours, please send an email to hello@heylovelybuns.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate your collection.
